Original Tibetan Namgyalma Buddha Statue in premium quality.
Made in cast-bronze, then full-gold plated and hand-painted on the face. Premium quality means a more elaborate statue with a thicker gold plating.
Nyamgyalma, also known as Ushnishavijaya, is a 3-faced Tara, one of the long life Tibetan Buddhas, along with Amitayus and the White Tara. It is designed to help overcome obstacles, to free us from the three mental poisons of greed, hatred and delusion, and to help us live a happy long life.
The 3rd Dalai Lama (1543-1588) consecrated his personal monastery (1571) Nyamgalma. Since then, all Dalai Lamas teach in the Namgyal Monastery. The monastery plays another key role in tantric rituals in support of the Dalai Lama. Since the escape of the Dalai Lama from Tibet (1959), the monastery in McLeod Ganj (Dharamsala) is in exile in India.
The short version of her mantra is "Om Tare Tuttare Ture Ayur Jana Hri Drum Soha".
