Prayer Wheels

The prayer wheel also called Mani wheel ( Tibetan: mani chos-'khor ) are circled clockwise, like the earth is going around the sun. The cylinder will be turned around by the weight fixed on the side of the cylinder. People of the Bön ( Bon ) tradition turn the prayer wheel counter clockwise. Every turn recitates the prayer of the Mantra Om mani padme hum, its written manytimes inside the cylinder on a roll of paper.
