Vajrasattva is the highest transcendent Buddha. His practice is a Tantric meditation that accompanies the recitation of his 100 silver mantras and visualizations. He helps meditators and his mantra recidivists to free themselves from the fetters of karma. Dorje Sempa is regarded as an important meditation support in all four Tibetan Buddhist traditions (Nyingma, Kagyü, Sakya and Gelug). With his help, the veils of illusion are to be revealed in order to gain a clear mind for the recognition of the true Buddha-nature of all living beings. In his left hand he holds the ghanta as a symbol of wisdom and the feminine aspect, and in his right hand an upward Dorje vajra as a symbol of compassion and the masculine aspect.
